I had a stroke when I was 61 years old. After initial therapy and a move to the northwest part of the county to be near our daughter, we discovered The Speech Emporium. Jennifer Swearengin came very highly recommended, as a previous student of one of my initial therapists at Baylor College of Medicine. I have been receiving treatment from Ms. Swearengin for five years now. She is consistently well-prepared and has been instrumental in my progress in being able to communicate verbally. In addition to her teaching skills, she is a very positive and caring person, and is now more of a friend than a therapist. I highly recommend The Speech Emporium!
